On 3 November 2022, a discussion was held on the fiscal management of the Managements of the Comptroller General of the Republic, in a meeting of the group technically known as the Collegiate Departmental Management. Federico Corredor, Economist and Professor at Colombia’s Externado University, and Juan Pablo Contreras, Advisor for Studies and Public Policy at the Anti-Corruption Institute participated in the session.
The conversation focused on the findings that the Anti-Corruption Institute had come across in the regional surveillance work carried out by their Justice and Impunity Observatory, which also looked more generally at the effectiveness of these control entities and their role in the recovery of public money in fiscal responsibility processes. The Fiscal Bulletin, which will be available for consultation starting mid-November, will look to analyze and report on the handling of this Management between 2014-2021, which are led by the Comptroller General of the Republic.
