This Thursday, the Minister of Finance, José Antonio Ocampo, confirmed in SEMANA that the economist and lawyer, José Roberto Acosta, has been appointed Director of Public Credit, one of the most important roles within the Public Finance Ministry.
Acosta is an economist and lawyer who previously held this same position in the Bogota District. He specialized in securities, financial and administrative law, an area in which he has worked for over two decades. Little by little, he became involved in the public sector, which has helped him to strengthen the connection between legislation and the financial sector, his two professional profiles.
His name appears as one of the anti-corruption activists at the Anti-Corruption Institute.
